The PR-15 RAGUN pistol was developed from requirements, issued by Polish army based on their previous less-than-happy experiences with WIST-94 pistol. First prototypes of PR-15 RAGUN pistol appeared in 2014, and in 2018 it was officially adopted by Polish army, and first contract for production was signed with its manufacturer, famous Polish small arms factory FABRYKA BRONI “ŁUCZNIK” – RADOM.
PR-15 RAGUN pistol is a conventional semi-automatic pistol with aluminum alloy frame. It uses most common Browning-type tilting barrel, short recoil operated action. Trigger is of external hammer, double action type, with ambidextrous frame mounted manual safety and slide release levers. Pistol feature fixed iron sights. It uses double stack, single feed magazines with 16-round capacity. Magazine release buttons are also ambidextrous. Frame of the gun is provided with integral Picatinny rail below the barrel which can be used to mount various tactical accessories such as flashlights or laser aiming modules.
