The Zastava M07 sniper rifle is produced in Serbia by Zastava Arms. It is a modern 7.62mm bolt action rifle with Mauser 98-type bolt and solid-top polygonal shaped receiver with integral Picatinny rail.
This rifle features a single trigger mechanism that can be finely adjusted. The safety is mechanical and has three positions, safe, fire and secure. In secure position the action can be manipulated but the rifle will not fire.
The barrel is cold forged chrome-vanadium steel, which according to the manufacturer, provides “..exceptional precision, accuracy and a long service life”. The barrel is threaded to accept a muzzle brake or flash hider. The rifle is available in two calibers (7.62×51 NATO and 7.62x54R) and has three designations based on the available stock types; M07, M07AS and M07AF.
The standard M07 rifle features a wooden stock with adjustable length of pull and cheek pad. The M07AS features a fixed polymer stock with the same adjustments. M07AF is the same again, but with a folding polymer buttstock. All versions are fed using detachable box magazines with 5 round capacity.
