The IWI DAN 338 Sniper Rifle is produced in Israel by Israel Weapon Industries (IWI) Ltd. It’s a modern, long range sniper rifle with claimed “sub-MOA” accuracy, suitable for military and police use, as well as for long range target shooting. Introduced in 2014, it was developed with collaboration from IDF Special Forces.
The IWI DAN 338 sniper rifle is a manually operated bolt action rifle with rotary bolt locking. The receiver and chassis-type stock are made from aluminum alloy; barrel can be removed from the gun and is provided with lateral ports (that act as a muzzle brake). A quick detachable suppressor can be installed over the muzzle. Rifle features side-folding, adjustable shoulder stock, and adjustable trigger. Ammunition is fed from detachable 10-round magazines. No iron sights are provided on the rifle, and various optical and IR/Night sights can be installed using integrated Picatinny rail on the top of the receiver.
