The 7.62mm Masaf-2 assault rifle is a gas operated, select fire weapon based on the American AR-10 platform. Rotary bolt locks directly to the barrel extension. The gun can fire in single shots or in full automatic mode.

Gun is equipped with an aluminum alloy forend with a Picatinny rail at the 12o’clock position, and a retractable M4 carbine-style buttstock. Iron sights are mounted on detachable bases, and the rear sight is patterned after the older HK G3 sight, which is a characteristic drum that has several apertures for different ranges.
