BCM Europearms CM4 Storm semi-automatic carbine is designed for civilian and security use and manufactured by Italian company BCM Europearms. It traces its roots to SITES Spectre submachine gun, as it was designed by the same people. The CM4 Storm also has certain design features borrowed from the Spectre, most notably the double-action trigger. It is available in two versions – CM4 Storm carbine and PM4 Storm pistol, which differ mostly in presence or absence of the shoulder stock.
BCM Europearms CM4 Storm semi-automatic carbine is built using simple blowback action and fires from closed bolt. Upper receiver is made from aluminum alloy, while lower receiver is made from polymer. There are no manual safeties, as the gun is fired in Double Action only mode. Automatic trigger safety is provided to further improve safe handling of the gun.
Top of the upper receiver is provided with integral Picatinny rail, and Storm carbines could be fitted with adjustable iron sights or any type of red dot sight, according to user preferences. Additional Picatinny rail is provided below the polymer forend. CM4 Storm carbines are equipped with M4-style retractable and adjustable shoulder stocks. Storm carbine uses detachable double stack, double feed magazines made from steel. Standard magazine capacity is 15 rounds.
