7.63×25 Mauser

The 7.63×25 Mauser cartridge, also known as .30 Mauser, was developed in 1896 specifically for the famous Mauser C96 pistol. It was derived from the 7.65mm Borchardt cartridge of 1893.

Following that, 7.63mm Mauser cartridges were used in pistols from Mauser, Astra and Star made during the interwar period, as well as in many submachine guns of the same period. In a slightly modified form, this round was also used in Tokarev TT pistols and its clones, those produced since 1933 in the USSR and in several other countries.
